Matryoshka dolls! Sometimes also known as babushka dolls, which I find funny because no-one in Russia calls them like that. A babushka is a grandma. And the matryoshkas don't look like grannies at all, being also a symbol of motherhood and fertility.



These little girls seem to be a lot around these days, as you can see on fabric and boxes. I have plans with them...
